The Peel Thunder have come from behind to snatch a thrilling two-point win over Claremont at home on Saturday.
Michael Wood was the star for the Thunder up forward, kicking four goals in the 11.8 (74) to 9.18 (72) win.
For the Tigers, inaccuracy in front of goal cost the side dearly.
Claremont had the Thunder on the back foot in the first quarter but failed to convert on the scoreboard, kicking 2.8 while holding the Thunder goalless.
But the Thunder were quickly on the board, kicking two goals in the first five minutes of the second as wayward kicking continued to haunt the Tigers.
The Thunder went into half-time with a one-point lead and continued to make the most of their opportunities up forward, pulling away in the final half.
