THE Peel Archery Club has started up again, with a new location in Lake Clifton.
Club president Wayne Gerard said the club was looking for new members and both beginners and experienced people could join.
“We have a professional coach and bows available for beginners,” he said.
“Everyone has to reach a certain standard before they go out into the field to keep everyone safe.
“We have some excellent shooters who have competed around the State.”
The new site is off Southern Estuary Road and has 20 targets, a shed and a hunting course and the group use long bows, recurve bows and compound bows.
Those wanting to give the sport a try can spend three weeks learning and then join the club for $40 per year.
There is then a cost of $5 per week and $3 for children under the age of 16.
Mr Gerard said archery was suitable for people of all ages, including children as young as six.
