A policeman’s car has been torched outside a police station overnight.
The Hyundai Getz was set on fire at midnight while it was parked outside the Forrestfield Police Station compound, on Strelitzia Avenue.
Police were alerted to the blaze after they heard a loud noise come from outside tje station and ran outside to investigate.
Fire fighters attended and extinguished the fire.
The vehicle is owned by a police officer who was on duty at the time.

In a separate incident overnight, two men are assisting police with their inquiries following an incident in Northbridge this morning.
Police were called to the corner of James and Lake Street shortly before 4.00am this morning where a 24 year old man had been assaulted.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
A 26-year-old Mount Pleasant man and a 27-year-old Booragoon man are speaking with police and have not been charged.
