STUDENTS at Mandurah Catholic College (MCC) proved they are among the State’s most clued in at a recent Law Society competition.
The Clued Up Kids competition is open to year five and six students across WA and students were given a set of witness statements and evidence samples and told to solve the mystery.
This year’s situation involved a minor assault at a cricket match and MCC students from the junior school gifted and talented program, Quest, created a Lego stop-motion re-enactment of the crime to showcase their results.
Quest coordinator Yvette Clifton said she was extremely proud of the students’ dedication to the task and their performance.
“The students were required to think laterally and creatively, and the competition really develops their problem-solving skills,” she said.
The students will be presented with their prizes at an awards night at Trinity College next month.
