THE Easter weekend has ended in tragedy with a fatality in Margaret River.
Margaret River police are investigating a crash which occurred on Easter Sunday night.
The incident occurred when a blue Toyota corolla was driving south along the Bussell Highway.
At the same time a silver Mazda 3 was driving north on the same highway about 8.10pm.
The two vehicles collided head-on near the Margaret River Airport.
A 26-year-old man driving the Toyota was from East Perth and died in the crash.
RAC Rescue, Margaret River and Dunsborough Fire Fighter volunteers attended the scene and helped free the trapped passengers.
The female passenger in the Toyota was seriously injured and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital.
The female driver and male passenger in the Mazda were both seriously injured.
The female driver was also flown to Royal Perth Hospital.
