IN CASE you missed the tenth annual Mandjar Art Awards on Saturday night, we have compiled a gallery of entries.
More than 450 people turned up to the Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery to hear the winners announced by judge Stefano Carboni, director of the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
Judy Rogers won the $15,000 Alcoa of Australia Corporate Award while Mark Tweedle took out the $5000 Halls Head Bendigo Bank Branch Regional Award.
Megan Christie won the Terrace Art Framers Highly Commended Regional Award, Suzanne Logue won the Hunsa Highly Commended Corporate Award and Hilly Coufreur won the Judges Encouragement Award.
“All the artists exhibited in the 2014 Mandjar Art Awards should be praised for creating works of the highest quality, and congratulations to all the award recipients,” Curator Gary Aitken said.
This year the awards were sponsored by Alcoa of Australia, the Halls Head Branch of Bendigo Bank, Hunsa Smallgoods and Terrace Art Framers.
The entries are on show until March 9, when the People’s Choice Award winner will be announced.
