Teen charged over Bullsbrook siege

A teenager has been charged over a two-hour stand-off with police in Bullsbrook, north-east of Perth this morning.

It will be alleged the 15-year-old boy armed himself with a firearm before barricading himself inside a Harling Way home about 9am.

The boy allegedly made threats to himself and others.

The tactical response group was called in to negotiate with the boy, and about 11am, the boy surrendered to police.

The Bullsbrook District High School was put into lockdown for several hours as police dealt with the situation.

The 15-year-old has been charged with unlicensed person possessing a firearm, unlicensed person possessing ammunition and being armed in a way that may cause fear.

The teenager is due to undergo a medical examination.

A court date has not yet been set.
