POLICE are investigating an incident involving a flare being aimed at the RAC rescue helicopter on Monday.
Just before 8pm, the pilot of the helicopter reported a green flare which he believes was intentionally aimed at the chopper.
The flare came to within 100 – 200 feet of the chopper while at an altitude of about 800-100 feet.
It is believed the flare was fired from an area within about a 1/2 mile of Jandakot airport.
Police conducted patrols but were unable to find a source.
