A MAN who hid cannabis in his underpants before attempting to swallow the bag when searched by police has been fined more than $1200.
Jason John Frost was caught within 50 metres of a person protected by a violence restraining order earlier this month and police were called.
He was arrested and when taken to Mandurah Police Station and strip searched, officers witnessed Mr Frost take something from his underpants and place it in his mouth.
When asked what was in his mouth, he attempted to mumble an answer before taking the clipseal bag containing 4.5 grams of cannabis from his mouth.
Magistrate Vivien Edwards fined Mr Frost $1200 plus court costs at Mandurah Magistrates Court on Friday.
