UPDATE: TROY Jay Power, 48, of Dudley Park, made a brief appearance in the Mandurah Magistrates Court this morning in relation to an alleged overnight assault.
Mr Power was not required to plead and did not make a bail application.
His next appearance will be on July 20.
POLICE are investigating two incidents overnight in Halls Head and Dudley Park.
The first happened between 5-6pm on Dadger Street.
A female victim, whose age is unknown, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries following an allegedly serious assault.
She will undergo surgery today.
A 48-year-old man from Dudley Park has been charged in relation to the incident after he was found in a neighbour’s backyard.
The street was cordoned off as forensic officers investigated.
The 48-year-old was taken to the Mandurah police station where he was refused bail.
He will appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court today charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
In the second incident just an hour later police were called to a house on Lindley Road in Halls Head.
About 7pm three people - two men and one woman known to each other - were involved in a dispute inside the home.
The police helicopter was called as initial reports said one of the men was armed with a knife and making threats.
After speaking with the three Polair was stood down.
Investigations into the dispute are underway.
