A 25-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with weapons offences after police stopped him in Mandurah on Thursday morning.

The Halls Head man, along with a 19-year-old male passenger, was driving a red Ford Falcon on Gordon Road, Greenfields just after 3am when he was pulled over for a random breath test.

Inside the car were various tools and a crowbar.

The man was found to be driving on a suspended licence.

Both he and his passenger were arrested.

The 19-year-old passenger was later released without charge.

The 25-year-old was charged with no authority to drive and possession of a controlled weapon and his vehicle has been impounded for 28 days.

He has been summonsed to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court.
