A charge against the man accused of assaulting the father of murdered teen Jessie Cate has today been upgraded to murder.
Timothy Skipper, 41, is now accused of murdering Paul Cate at a Dawesville caravan park earlier this month.
Mr Cate, 46, died in hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an incident allegedly involving Mr Skipper.
Mr Skipper was initially charged with grievous bodily harm but that charge was upgraded in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
Mr Skipper was remanded in custody at Hakea Prison and will re-appear on June 22 at Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court.
Mr Cate's death came within a day of Kyle Rohan Garth pleading guilty to the murder of Jessie Cate, 15, last December.
