Woman freed after crashing into house

RESCUE crews remain at the scene of a crash in Secret Harbour after a car plowed through the front window of a home this afternoon.

A woman aged in her mid-40s was trapped inside the Toyota Camry after slamming into the house on Sorrento Turn shortly before 2pm today.

With the vehicle wedged between the front door and the garage of the home, fire crews from Rockingham and Secret Harbour were forced to cut the woman from the car.

At this stage it is not yet known what caused the accident.

The woman was freed from the wreck after about 45 minutes and was able to walk to a waiting ambulance where she was taken to Rockingham General Hospital.

Police are investigating the accident.

Fire crews remain at the scene as they attempt to dislodge the vehicle from the front of the house.
