POLICE are investigating a suspicious boat fire in Greenfields this morning.
Emergency crews were called to Estuary Marine on Panton Road about 1.38am this morning with reports of boats alight.
Mandurah Fire and Rescue and Mandurah Volunteer Fire and Rescue attended the scene with Rockingham Fire and Rescue stood down on the way.
The blaze was brought under control by 1.55am with three boats, two aluminium vessels and one fibre glass vessel, damaged.
The damage bill is estimated at $100,000.
Arson squad officers are heading to the scene this morning as the blaze remains “suspicious”.
It is the third boat fire in the region this year after two boats were damaged in a blaze at a boatyard on Quarry Way in February and seven boats were gutted by fire at Sunset Coast Marine in North Yunderup last week.
