A 29-YEAR-OLD woman faced Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday after her 11-year-old son exchanged a cannabis leaf found in his school bag for lunch money.
Stacey Joy Vokes, of Thornlie, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis after her son’s school alerted authorities to the July 24 incident.
Ms Vokes told the court she had used her son’s school bag the weekend before and had forgotten about the cannabis.
She said her son had lunch for the day so she was unsure why he wanted to trade the cannabis for lunch money.
Magistrate Vivien Edwards fined Ms Vokes $300.
