IT’S Wear A Bear Day in support of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and donations can be made at the Foundation’s stand at Centro Mandurah.
Money raised will towards specialist medical equipment for WA children and since its initial launch in 1998 has raised nearly one million dollars.
PMH Foundation chief executive Denys Pearce said supporting Wear a Bear Day is a great way for West Australians to demonstrate their support for children who have needed ongoing care at PMH.
“What’s particularly great to know is that Wear a Bear Day is helping to fund specialist equipment and research which ensures WA kids are getting the quality medical care they deserve,” she said.
The Wear a Bear Day campaign runs throughout May and popular merchandise includes $2 clip-on bears, bear-ear headbands, crazy straws and iPhone covers.
Anyone who would like to donate can go to Centro Mandurah where out the front of Coles a stand is step-up.
Wear a Bear Day merchandise can also be purchased from stores around Mandurah including Caltex stores, Chicken Treat outlets, selected IGA stores, The Good Guys and Croissant Express.
