EIGHT talented Peel juniors have been selected for Western Australia in the NAB AFL National Championships in Under 18s and Under 16s.
In the Under 18s Waroona’s Corey Morris will be joined by Baldivis’ Chase Strange, Pinjarra’s Kamdyn McIntosh and Halls Head’s Laine Wilkins.
In the Under 16s Dylan Winton was chosen alongside Brendan Tingey, Bradley Walsh and Bailey Harris.
The eight footballing talents were identified by talent scouts across the state and will be part of total 72 players selected for the championships.
The West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) hosted a State Talent Academy induction on Tuesday night where the players received their State jumpers ahead of the championships in just two weeks.
The State 18s will play later in July,
Players inducted on Tuesday will participate this Sunday in a celebration of State Academy football at Medibank Stadium featuring games from 9am between the South West Colts v State 16s and the WAFL Rising Stars v State 18s.
