WE are residents of Port Mandurah living not far from Sutton Farm in Finistere Island.
It is very disappointing to note the developers are still continuing to pursue the avenue of erecting modern high rise, high density buildings around the very historic old Sutton Farm.
Should this happen a lovely and prized heritage site will be lost and simply over shadowed by what some would term as ‘progress’.
I do hope a more suitable and aesthetic compromise is reached so that the residents of Mandurah get to enjoy some of the old history of the farm.
Sutton Farm is an ideal opportunity for use as a tourist venue similar to Edenvale in Pinjarra.
We are sure the public would benefit greatly if the site were to be developed as such.
Let us hope common sense prevails in the end.
