ONCE again I would like to thank the people of Mandurah who, not long ago, came to the aid of my son Glen.
There was a short period when his gopher was going through some mechanical problems and during this time a number of people pushed him home at various times from various places.
The weather was hot and these good Samaritans arrived at my door red faced and dripping with perspiration.
Without their kind actions, Glen would have found it extremely difficult to get home, as the gopher is too heavy for him to push very far and he does not communicate therefore cannot phone me.
Since we moved to Mandurah 11 years ago, he has become a very familiar sight in the community. He loves visiting the Forum where he waves hello to everyone and continues to be spoilt by his fabulous friends at Muffin Break.
Lately, he has taken a shine to the marina and can often be seen cruising around the area ‘checking things out’. He regularly visits 10 pin bowling where he is welcomed by friendly and caring staff members.
Greenfields is another area he visits to say hi to a number of his friends.
A big thank you to the people of Mandurah for keeping and eye on Glen.
I would welcome a call if you see him in need of help or if you would just like to know more about him.
Alternatively, there’s a notebook in his basket – he comes home very excited when people write a message.
