Cockburn too strong for Mandurah City

MANDURAH City was defeated 3-1 by Cockburn City in the Football West State League premier division clash on Saturday afternoon.

Mandurah’s only goal was scored by Godfrey in the 39th minute but by that stage Cockburn had already scored twice thanks to Dos Santos at 17 minutes and Surjan at 26 minutes.

The Cockburn players sealed the game with their third goal in the 82nd minute.

In other premier division games Armadale 2 d Canning City 1, Floreat Athena d Sorrento 3-1, Western Knights 2 d Stirling Lions 0 and ECU Joondalup 1 d Inglewood United 0.

In the reserves Mandurah City drew 3-3 with Cockburn City while in the Under 18s Cockburn City 4 d Mandurah City 3.
