PEEL Thunder midfielder Ben Howlett is headed to Essendon.

The 21-year-old was selected at pick number 30 by the Bombers in the AFL rookie draft this morning.

He now joins former Peel teammates Scott Gumbleton and Kyle Reimers who have been at Windy Hill since they were selected in the 2006 AFL draft.
