Eagles land in Mandurah

10 Feb, 2010 03:30 PM
THE West Coast Eagles landed in Mandurah last week as part of the AFL Community Camp program.

Players and coaching staff were split into groups for the two-day trip.

Last Thursday and Friday the touring Eagles visited schools, aged care facilities and hospitals in the area, while also taking part in a panel night and squeezing in a light training session.

The trip was about recognising the club’s regional supporters.

The Eagles held an open training session at Bendigo Bank Stadium on the Thursday and were officially welcomed to Mandurah at a civic reception that evening.

A super clinic was held the next morning for local children in Pinjarra before visits to aged care facilities and hospitals rounded out the trip.

The club also hosted a special event on Thursday evening at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre, featuring panels of both players and coaches.

All proceeds from this event went towards the Alcoa Peel Football League.
