PINJARRA’S Jamie Lee continued his dominance of Peel Cricket Association A grade notching up his fifth century of the season and also taking his tally for the year past 1000 runs last weekend.
Lee could have gone earlier in the match against South Mandurah last Saturday but soon settled to pass the 1000-run milestone and then reach another century before being stumped for 135 late in the innings.
Lee has so far has made 1118 runs at an average of 79 which is nearly 500 runs more than his closest rival Ben Drummond of Mandurah.
Pinjarra eventually were dismissed for 285 with good support from Andrew Darnley falling just short of half a century with 48.
Des Handy ended with 4/5 and Tom McCulloch chipped in late with three wickets for South Mandurah.
Then Pinjarra bowlers Mark Hennessy and Dylan Skipper ripped through South Mandurah’s top and middle order.
The scoreboard read a dismal 8/10 at one point before Gareth Prall (25) and Ben Parker (13 not out) managed to get the score to 55.
Hennessy ended with 5/13 and Skipper took 3/37.
