Tickets snapped up for ball

03 Jul, 2009 11:00 AM
WAROONA Recreation and Aquatic Centre is set to light up Las Vegas-style for the ninth annual Dancing Daffodils ball.

This year’s ball will have a Viva Las Vegas theme and tickets were quickly snapped up when they went on sale on June 6.

The non-profit event will be held on August 22 and raise money for the Cancer Council of Western Australia.

To date the Daffodils committee has raised more than $106,000 and looking forward to adding to that total this year.

The committee is also looking for sponsorship support.

Call Kirsty Ferraro on 0488 331 042 or Lil Magno on 9733 1891 for more information.

The committee organised a buy/swap/sell dress day for those who wanted to buy, swap or sell their ball dresses at the Waroona Memorial Hall recently.

Unfortunately bad weather meant no one showed up to buy but this has done little to diminish their sprit.

The committee will again look to organise something similar next year.
