Support needed for riding group

16 Mar, 2010 08:46 AM
THE Murray Mandurah division of Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is seeking more volunteers to help with their important work.

Promotions officer Wayne Beardmore said the association was a rewarding experience for both the disabled involved and the volunteers.

“There are a variety of reasons for wanting to volunteer,” Mr Beardmore said.

“It’s very rewarding and there’s a lot of enjoyment from working with the children.”

With a five-year plan now in the work the group hopes to expand the property grounds in Fairbridge.

The Murray RDA works with schools from around the Murray and Peel region, as well as with adults.

Operating during the school terms the Murray RDA operates on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday all day and on Friday afternoons.

Volunteers are needed to help maintain gear and equipment, property and in the office.

For more information call volunteer coordinator Anne McDonald on 9531 1822.
