Public forums on marine developments

03 Aug, 2010 06:37 AM
TWO public forums will be held to gauge response to future marine developments in the Sandy Cove and Clansman Restaurant areas in the Murray Shire.

Concerns were raised by residents at the Murray Shire Council meeting in April that major changes were planned for the area without consultation.

Among the concerns were overnight moorings at Pelican Wharf changing to a maximum of four-hour stays and the lack of toilet facilities and rubbish control.

The first forum will be on August 16 from 6-7.30pm at the South Yunderup Sports and Recreation Club.

A North Yunderup forum will be held on August 23 from 6-7.30pm at the CWA Hall on Culeenup Road.
