Prison term likely

02 Jul, 2009 04:00 AM
A MANDURAH man who was caught driving under the influence of alcohol and with no headlights on last week was remanded in custody for seven days after appearing in the Mandurah Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

Ronald John Craig was not required to plead to what Magistrate Terence McIntyre referred to as a “top of the range offence”.

The court heard the 37-year-old had been driving with a blood alcohol content of .197 percent on June 26.

If convicted, it will be Craig’s fifth drink-related driving offence and Mr McIntyre said he would be facing a prison sentence. Craig will reappear before the court this Tuesday.
