Naming honour for tireless worker

22 Mar, 2010 04:00 AM
MARGARET Glasson has been described as a tireless worker who was involved with many activities for the betterment of the Dawesville community.

The late Dawesville resident is set to have a park on Moorburg Drive, Dawesville named in her honour.

The proposed Margaret Glasson Park is opposite the Southern Estuary Hall near the Dawesville Channel.

Councillors voted unanimously for the reserve’s name last Tuesday and Mayor Paddi Creevey requested signage at the site with a brief description of Ms Glasson’s contribution to the community.
