TWO cars collided on Pinjarra Road as Mandurah experienced a typical winter pattern day on Tuesday.
Fortunately the injuries to the drivers of both vehicles were minor.
But the wet weather is a taste of what is expected over the next week with good rainfall expected today.
Up until early Tuesday morning Mandurah had received 67.6mm of rain for the month compared to the monthly average of 186.2mm.
June 2006 was the driest on record with only 19ml of rain received.
“There is more rain to come so hopefully that will add to the percentage of rain Mandurah receives,” Bureau of Meteorology climate information officer John Relf said.
The average rainfall for the first six months of the year is 398.4mm and so far Mandurah is well below the average with just 140.4mm received so far.
Tuesday was the coldest day in Mandurah since July 31 last year, reaching a high of 13.8 degrees.
“Anything less than 15 degrees or less is classed as a cold day,” Mr Relf said.
Last Friday Mandurah also experienced strong winds as gusts reached up to 85km/h at 11.45am, the windiest day of the month so far.
