TWO men have been charged with murder following the death of a 48-year-old Cookernup man in Mandurah on Sunday.
The men are believed to be aged in their 30s and are local residents.
Timothy Everington was found dead on the banks of the Serpentine River about 7.30am.
He was found near his campervan on the ground and had been stabbed several times.
Detectives from the Major Crime Unit, forensic officers and police divers scoured the Lakes Road, Stakehill, scene for evidence.
The two suspects were charged late last night.
Today police are still searching for items believed to have been used in the murder.
Houses in Pinjarra and Coodanup are currently being searched in relation to the murder and investigations are continuing.
The two men will appear in Mandurah Magistrate’s Court this afternoon.
