The City of Mandurah is celebrating the National Year of Reading this year with a free launch event, tomorrow – February 14.

Throughout this important year, the City will be linking together all the great things that are already happening around books, reading and literacy, and providing an extra boost with programs and events taking place throughout Mandurah.

Throughout the year there will be a variety of fun, reading activities taking place around our community throughout the year such as Roving Readers at parks, events or cafes.

The City will be partnering with schools, community groups, booksellers and a host of other organisations that share our passion for reading.

There’ll be a variety of activities including a continuous reading of Norman Lindsay’s ‘The Magic Pudding’, face painting, crafts tables and more.
