A ‘NUDIE’ run on the Mandurah boardwalk last month resulted in a $200 fine for two men when they appeared in the Mandurah Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Kayne John Ottley, 24, from Halls Head and Daniel Robert Morath, 20, from Bridgetown, stripped naked outside the Stage Door restaurant in the early hours of January 17.
They were seen by police doing cartwheels before running towards The Point.
Police gave chase and caught the men who were given blankets to “cover themselves up”.
While trying not to laugh, the men admitted they had “had a couple of drinks” and were sorry they had wasted police time.
Magistrate Terry McIntyre referred to the pair as “morons”.
