AS part of the City of Mandurah’s Community Profiles Project, the City’s community development team wants to learn more about what residents in Dudley Park value about their area.
City officers will be attending the Dudley Park Bowling and Recreation Club open day this Saturday to host a mapping activity where people can find their house on a giant map and talk to an officer about the area they live in.
Mandurah chief executive Mark Newman said the officers would also conduct a brief survey to find out important information about the character of Dudley Park and its ‘sense of community’ to help the City plan for the future.
“If you are a long-term Dudley Park resident, or have previously lived in this locality, we encourage you to come down and tell us your stories, your memories of the area, what you think makes it the place it is today, and your vision for the future of your area and Mandurah,” Mr Newman said.
The wider community has been invited to the club open day from noon to 4pm.
A bowling competition will start at 2pm with names to be on the board from 1.30pm but there will be other activities including dance group demonstrations, a Zumba Fit demonstration, community displays and a free sausage sizzle.
