15 Feb, 2010 08:56 AM
MANDURAH police are seeking witnesses to a traffic incident in which a six year old boy received serious injuries after being hit by a car.

The incident occurred outside the Riverside Primary School at the intersection of Minilya Parkway and Teranca Road in Greenfields last Thursday afternoon.

It is believed that the boy, who had just finished his school day at around 3.10pm, run across Minilya Parkway to meet his mother on the opposite side.

As he did so, he was hit by a Holden ute, which caused the boy to receive serious injuries including a broken leg.

Police were already at the scene on another matter and were able to assist the boy and start their investigation.

The driver of the Holden ute stopped at the scene with both the male driver and passenger being questioned by police.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has further information to contact Mandurah Traffic on 95810275 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
