A WAROONA man was fined $1000 and ordered to pay $1168.75 in restitution after being convicted in the Mandurah Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday of damaging property.

Marcus-Scott Gerard Fitzgerald did not attend court and was convicted in his absence.

The court heard the 32-year-old was captured on CCTV on January 29 kicking a glass panel at the train station until it shattered.

Fitzgerald must also pay court costs of $119.20.
