ONE of Australia’s leading ladies of jazz Michelle Nicolle will be on stage at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on May 6.
The Melbourne based arranger, band leader and vocalist has won numerous awards throughout her career.
In 1998 at the Wangaratta International Jazz Festival, Nicolle won the National Jazz Award, judged by legendary bebop singer Sheila Jordon and the current Blue Note vocal star Kurt Elling.
The awards continued to roll in, winning the 2001, 2003 and 2004 Australian Jazz Vocalist of the Year ARIA Award.
With six albums released to date Nicolle has enjoyed acclaim from critics and jazz fans alike.
